Career and networking event slated
"Suit Up," the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce's fourth annual career fair and networking event for students nearing graduation and local employers seeking quality talent, takes place from 2 to 5 p.m. March 21, at Florida Southern College (Field House), 111 Lake Hollingsworth Drive, Lakeland, Parking will be available at the First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland, 175 Lake Hollingsworth Drive, and students/employers will be bussed to the event. SCORE offers workshop series
Central Florida SCORE's Winter/Spring 2018 workshop series in partnership with the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce will offer the following workshops on the fourth Thursday of the month. March 22: Leveraging Your Business with “The Cloud;” April 26: Increase Your Sales with Relationship Building; May 24: Balancing the Books for Growth, Simple Bookkeeping Setups. Workshops are held at the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce, 35 Lake Morton Drive. Registration will begin at 7:45 a.m. with Danish and coffee; the workshop is from 8 a.m. to 9:30 Cost is $10.
