PNB fraud: Centre against parallel inquiry by Supreme Court

The Centre on Friday told the Supreme Court that there cannot be a “parallel inquiry” by the court in investigations, while opposing an SC suggestion to the CBI to file in a sealed cover the status of the probe in the bank fraud case.

Attorney General K.K. Venugopal told a CJI-headed bench that even before a probe began, people came to courts with PILs.
