Dr Mukund Rajan resigns from Tata Sons

Dr Mukund Rajan, the Chief Ethics Officer of Tata Sons, the flagship company of the salt-to-software conglomerate, has resigned.
Dr Rajan, 49, is the brother of former Reserve Bank of India Governor Dr Raghuram Rajan.
Confirming his resignation, the Tata Sons in a statement said: "Dr Rajan has conveyed personal reasons for his decision to leave Tata Sons and has indicated he will be evaluating certain entrepreneurial pursuits in the coming months."
Dr Rajan and Tata Sons have mutually agreed that Dr Rajan will leave the services of Tata Sons on 31 March 2018. "Tata Sons thank him for his distinguished services in various leadership roles including in the telecommunication sector, private equity space and branding strategy, as a Tata Administrative Service (TAS) Officer in the Tata Group, over a period of 23 years," the statement said.
Dr Rajan has worked with three successive Chairmen - Ratan Tata, Cyrus Mistry and N Chandrasekaran.
