Lyle Samuel Wilson, of Lynchburg, Va., went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 15, 2018. Sam was preceded in death by his wife, June "Sarah" Wilson; and a son, Garnett Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Carol and her children, Judy Moore, Susan Brown, Kevin Ware, and Allen Ware; his children, Patricia "Trickie" Wilson, Larry Wilson, and Renee Eagle; a sister, Etta "Sissy" Wilson; a brother, Pete McHugh; 16 grandchildren, one deceased, and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, on Sunday, March 18, 2018, from 4:30 until 6 p.m. A celebration of Sam's life will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, on Monday, March 19, 2018, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
