The voters in New Philadelphia decided to support a new fire station, not to join a fire district.

I'd like to know when New Philadelphia is going to tear down these old homes that are falling apart. I don't think anybody would want that in their neighborhood, but I have it in my neighborhood. Please do something soon.

I back the strikers at Gradall. Time to make a stand and get back what you have given up over all the years.

If you want to have a chance at having a good football program, you have to give a coach a five-year opportunity. If you keep hiring a coach every two or three years, you're not going to build any program whatsoever.

Help us Dover Historical Society and the city of Dover. Don’t let the schools destroy a beautiful architectural landmark. There is plenty of parking around the historic house. Pretty soon Dover will have nothing but ugly cement block structures and parking lots. If you insist on not having the house, then find someone who will move it. Stop the destruction!

Spring is around the corner. Why do people think they can clean up their yards, garages, etc. and dump their trash loose on the curb and expect that it’s going to be picked up? I’ve had to look at a neighbor's pile of rubbish since last summer. If it hasn’t been picked up yet, it’s probably not going to be. Get rid of your trash properly so the neighborhood doesn’t have to look at it!

It takes a lot more than just good state test scores to be a "District of Excellence." To be an excellent district a school needs to be striving for excellence in every program it offers, including in the arts and on the athletic fields. Why would a district offer programs and then make no effort to excel at those programs and accept mediocrity or failure? What message is that sending our kids?
