Jaguar Land Rover India has launched the Jaguar XE and XF in India with the lightweight and efficient all-aluminium Ingenium petrol powertrain. The new 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol motor is offered in both 197 bhp and 247 bhp. The 197 bhp engine will be offered on the XE Pure and Prestige as well as the XF Prestige while the 247 bhp version will be available on the Portfolio variant of the XE and XF. The engine is mated to an 8-Speed Electronic Automatic Transmission with Jaguar Sequential ShiftTM and All Surface Progress Control. The XE with the new petrol engine costs ₹ 35.99 Lakh while the Jaguar XF starts from ₹ 49.80 Lakh.

The company had already launched the Ingenium diesel engines on both cars in May last year and now with the petrol motors, the transformation to all Ingenium engines. The Ingenium petrol engines use Jaguar Land Rover's low friction all-aluminium-intensive design to provide excellent thermal properties and lightweight construction for improved efficiency and enhanced vehicle dynamics.
