Speculation tax critics want Okanagan exemption

It’s not slated to come in until the fall but the Okanagan is already feeling the impact of a planned speculation tax. The property tax is meant to increase the availability of affordable housing, but some worry it could also tank real estate prices and suppress development in the Okanagan. As Megan Turcato reports, critics of the tax are now calling on the province to provide an exemption for Kelowna and West Kelowna.
