To apprise the President on the disqualification of MLAs

The unruly TRS MLAs who attacked the Governor in Assembly in the past, are now teaching morality to the Opposition party MLAs, said former TPCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah.

Terming the injury of the council chairman Swamy Goud as a drama enacted at the behest of the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the Congress leader said if his party leaders warranted disqualification what punishment does the government deserved for its brutal treatment of dalits of Nerella and handcuffing of farmers who genuinely demanded minimum support price in Khammam. “Should the ruling party members be hanged for torturing dalits?,” he asked.

He said it was Chief Minister KCR’s strategy to disqualify Congress party MLAs. However, he would not succeed in his machinations as people are vexed with his false promises and inefficient governance. Not a single promise has been delivered. History is replete with many autocratic leaders like KCR.

The suspension of MLAs only proved the fear psychosis of the Chief Minister who could not dare to face them. The one way rhetoric by Mr. KCR would not work out all the time, he said.

Mr. Ponnala Lakhsmaiah also ridiculed the Chief Minister for justifying the nomination of Mr. Santhosh Kumar for Rajya Sabha stating that the real activists were left out and a personal attendant was honoured with the post. “The reasons given by the Chief Minister are absurd,” he pointed out.

The Congress leader said they would apprise the President of India on the disqualification of his party MLAs and would continue to fight against the autocratic rule of Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao in Telangana.
