Later, gator: U.S. Marshals arrest suspect and find alligator in home

U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Willoughby Hills Police Department found an alligator while arresting a suspect wanted on a warrant.

The task force, police and members of the U.S. probation office arrested 31-year-old Robert Watson on March 15. Watson was wanted by the U.S. Marshals for probation violations stemming from a federal conviction of drug trafficking.

Watson was arrested at his home on the 29000 block of Eddy Road in Willoughby Hills.

While conducting the search, officers found a 3-foot long Caiman alligator in a fish tank. Animal control was notified and they will determine if the animal is prohibited.
