Arsenal news: Gunners rocked as Hector Bellerin representatives hold talks with Man Utd

HECTOR BELLERIN’S representatives have reportedly had contact with Manchester United over a potential summer transfer.

The Arsenal defender has a contract until 2023 but after a turbulent season his future has come under scrutiny.

Bellerin wanted to join Barcelona last summer but was persuaded to stay by Arsene Wenger.

However the Spain international has struggled to reach the levels which saw him named in the 2016 PFA Team of the Year.

And with doubts over Wenger and several players, this summer could see a major overhaul at the Emirates.

Manchester United are in the market for a new right-back to replace 33-year-old Antonio Valencia.

And according to the Manchester Evening News, United have made “contact” with Bellerin’s representatives and asked to be kept updated with his situation.

Losing Bellerin to United would be a huge blow to Arsenal’s standing amongst their Premier League rivals.

And it would come just months after Arsenal were let Alexis Sanchez move to Old Trafford.

Juventus have also been linked with Bellerin but ESPN pundit Alejandro Moreno reckons the right-back will stay at the Emirates even if a new manager arrives.

He said: “It all really depends on what happens with Arsene Wenger and whoever comes in.

“Is he going to clean house, whoever that coach may be?

“Even if he cleans house, I don’t think Hector Bellerin would be one of the ones that would go.

“So I believe this is a miss.”
