Continuing sealing drive, all the three municipal corporations sealed 61 properties/ shops on Wednesday.
A senior SDMC official said the building departments carried out action on the direction of the Supreme Court-appointed Monitoring Committee.
All these shops and properties were sealed for a number of reasons, including unauthorised construction of offices and rooms at different floors and ongoing commercial activities at basement and stilt parking areas, non-payment of conversion charges and encroachment, he said.
South Delhi Municipal Corporation sealed 14 properties at 44 points in areas of Vikaspuri J Block, West Panjabi Bagh and Hari Nagar for illegal construction and misusing of spaces.
While, East Delhi Municipal Corporation sealed 24 shops in Nirman Vihar, Nand Nagri and Sunder Nagri for not paying conversion charges. North Corporation also sealed 23 properties at Azad Market Pachim Vihar and Naraina Vihar.
In the drive, thousands of shops have been sealed since last December and there is still no sigh of relief.
