The 2019 Kia K900 Interior Will Look Like This

Kia has released a design sketch showing the dashboard layout and interior of its new K900 full-size sedan. The 2019 Kia K900 may make its debut later this month at the 2018 New York Auto Show. Kia already released sketches previewing the exterior of the sedan, but this is the first time we’ve gotten a look at the redesigned cabin.

While certainly not a bad thing, we sense some heavy Mercedes-Benz influence with the new K900’s interior. The diamond-quilted stitching on the doors is very Mercedes-Benz, as are the silver row of buttons located just below the floating infotainment screen – another design trend Mercedes pioneered. Other standout design features include the four-spoke steering wheel, the center console rotary dial-gear selector combo and the digital dash display.

There’s no word on what platform may underpin the K900, nor what engines it may offer. It seems likely, though, that it will ride on Hyundai and Kia’s large architecture used in the current K900 and Genesis G80 and G90. Its 3.3-liter Lambda V6 engine also seems to be a good candidate to power the redesigned four-door.

We’ll have full details on the new Kia K900 after its debut either this or next month.
