Sukhi Sewania police have nabbed a 35-year-old man on the charge of killing an 85-year-old man, suspecting his illicit relationship with killer’s wife at a farm house in Ganiyari village on Tuesday.
Police said that the deceased Suraj Singh Yadav was killed at a farm house owned by Bheesam Sharma at Ganiyari village.
The deceased was a resident of Raisen and used to work at the farm house. The accused identified as Kailash Goud suspected his wife of having illicit relationship with the deceased.
SHO Sukhi Sewania Mahendra Mishra said that the accused was nabbed and has confessed the crime. The accused confessed that he killed Suraj.
Police said that the accused also tried to kill his wife and chased her but she managed to save herself with minor injuries and escape the attack and informed regarding the murder. She sustained injuries in her hands as she grabbed the axe used to attack her by the accused.
During the investigation police found that in the afternoon the accused found his wife with the accused when he reached the farm in the afternoon and infuriated over the two he attacked deceased with sharp edged weapon killed him and later he attacked his wife but she escaped the attack.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 302 of the IPC was registered. Police have started further investigation.
The deceased used to work as security guard at the farm house while the accused used to work as labour and lived at the farm house along with his family.
