Two persons were arrested today with body parts of a tiger they had allegedly poached in famous Kanha Tiger Reserve (KTR), a Forest official said.
"We arrested Dharmraj Dhamde (32) and Sunil Lilhere (22), both residents of Lalbara area in the district, on a tip off," said KTR official Sudhir Mishra.
He said various body parts of a tiger were recovered from the duo.
Mishra said the duo allegedly electrocuted a tiger in KTR, spread in Balaghat and Mandla districts of Madhya Pradesh, a month ago.
Two more persons are wanted in this connection, he said.
Dhamde and Lilhere were booked under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, he said, adding that further investigation is on.
