In latest such video, a 'godman' was purportedly seen performing some ritual to ward off "evil powers" in an auditorium in Pimpri Chinchwad near here after workers reported some "paranormal" activities.
The incident occurred at Archarya Atre auditorium in Pimpri where its renovation was underway.
According to a labourer, he and his colleagues experienced "some paranormal activities at the renovation site of the auditorium and heard some strange voices".
"We all got scared after hearing the strange voices and experiencing paranormal activities at the site and later performed a ritual at the site by calling a godman," he said.
Another labourer told a news channel that they heard a female voice asking them to come to her and even saw someone throwing stones from above.
Pimpri police officials said they would visit the place and look into the matter.
Members of Maharashtra Andhashradhha Nirmulan Samiti visited the place today and underlined the need to educate people on such issues.
The incident came close on the heels of a godman performing some rituals in the ICU of a private hospital in Pune recently for recovery of a woman patient on death bed.
