Two people, including a five-year-old girl, died and five others fell ill allegedly after consuming adulterated sweets in Rajasthan's Bikaner district, police said today.
They consumed the sweets yesterday while they were returning from a marriage function in Barmer district, they said.
Station House Officer (SHO), Dantor, Mahesh Kumar, said that they were taken to a government health centre, from where they were referred to a hospital in Bikaner.
Muli Dev (60) and her grand daughter Santu (5) died while being taken to the hospital, he said.
