The 90th edition of College of Engineering, Pune’s (COEP) Regatta enthralled audience with a brilliant display of skills, strength and elegance. Organised on the banks of
Mula river, the event was a crowd puller with thousands of students from various college in attendance. This year’s highlight was the sailing event which also saw a sailing boat from the
Royal Connaught Boat Club on display.
SA Meshram, in-charge of Regatta, said, “The theme of the edition was ‘Tryst with Peace’ that aimed to promote international friendliness, collaboration and economic prosperity resulting in freedom and hence, abolishing violence. Like every year, this year too there were events like arrow formation, punt formation, kayak ballet and few more.”
The tele matches, a firecracker show and mashal dance were highlights of the evening. Dr
Abhay Wagh, Director of Technical Education, was the chief guest for the program which also saw actress
Rajshree Deshpande in attendance.
