India enters into final of Nidahas T20 tournament

Colombo: India beat Bangladesh by 17 runs on Wednesday in the fifth match of Nidahas Trophy T20 cricket tournament at the R. Premadasa Stadium. This win helped the team to enter the final round of tournament.

Bangladesh team gave a target of 177 runs to Indians that was easily chased by Indians. The beginning of match for Bangladesh was also not fine. Bowler Washington Sunder clinched three big wickets during Powerplay.

Mahmudullah had put great efforts to score well but he lost the wicket on spinner Chahal’s bowl. Later, Sabbir (27) and Mushfiqur Rahim (72 not out) contribution of 65 runs raised hope among Bangladeshi fans but when batsmen Sabbir was thrashed away  by Indian bowler all the hopes of people were shattered.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma contributed 89 runs (13th half century) that helped India to make a target of 177 easily while Suresh Raina clinched 47 runs on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Dinesh Karthik (2) remained unbeaten in the game. Bangladesh’s bowler Hossain clinched two wickets.
