Caribbean tourism revivalIt might be a remote corner for majority of travelers, but Suriname was one of the most rapidly-growing places in the Caribbean Community in 2017, as per the latest data from the Caribbean Tourism Organization.

Last year, Suriname on the northern coast of South America (and CARICOM member state) was reported with a total of 278,035 stayover visitors. The aforementioned statistics represented an 8.2 percent growth in arrivals, in terms of the highest rates in the Caribbean, as per to a study by Caribbean Journal.

As it’s still quite an emerging destination, in recent time, Suriname has carved out a niche both in terms of its powerful eco-tourism product, its different food scene, and the promising urban center of the capital of Suriname, Paramaribo, home to the recently restored Hotel Kransapolsky.
