South Canara District Central Cooperative (SCDCC) Bank, entering the 105th year of its founding, will open three new branches this month, thereby taking its branch network to 105.
Bank president M.N. Rajendra Kumar told reporters here on Thursday that the new branches would be inaugurated at Darbe in Puttur taluk, Muddur in Udupi taluk, and Aikala (Damaskatte) in Mangaluru taluk on March 20, March 22, and March 26, respectively.
Mr. Kumar said the Darbe branch, to be functional from Shree Rama Sudha, will be inaugurated by Puttur MLA Shakuntala T. Shetty, while the Muddur branch, to be functional from Hegde Complex, would be inaugurated by Fisheries Minister Pramod Madhwaraj. The Aikala branch, to be functional from Annapoorneshwari Complex, is to be inaugurated by Moodbidri MLA K. Abhayachandra Jain. Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel is expected to be present at Darbe and Aikala.
All the branches will have core banking and single-window facility with computerisation. The SCDCC Bank has already commenced deposit mobilisation for these branches. Attractive prizes would be offered to depositors in a lucky draw that will be held during the inauguration, Mr. Kumar said.
