The Lake County YMCA announced that anyone that donates five food items will have their New Join Fee (a $50 value) waived when the join the Lake County Y through March 31.

Food items needed include spaghetti sauce/pasta, peanut butter, jelly, canned/boxed soup and meals, canned vegetables/fruit, tuna fish/canned meat, juice, water and paper/hygiene products. Donated food will be given to the United Way of Lake County for its annual “Feed Lake County” food drive.

Food items may be donated at the Lake County YMCA Central, 933 Mentor Ave. in Painesville; West End, 37100 Euclid Ave. in Willoughby; or East End, 730 North Lake St. in Madison.

Current YMCA members are also encouraged to donate food items.
