Panhellenic scholarship

The Daytona Beach Area Alumnae Panhellenic Association is now accepting applications for the Martha Halling Panhellenic Scholarship until Saturday, March 31. Applicants must be from Volusia or Flagler county, be a member of a National Panhellenic Council-affiliated sorority, and currently a full-time student at an accredited college or university. Dinner dance

The Polish American Pulaski Club will host a dinner dance from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at 3621 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach. There will be free dance lessons after dinner. Author to discuss segregated park

Cynthia Wilson-Graham, co-author of “Remembering Paradise Park: Tourism and Segregation at Silver Springs,” will be the keynote speaker at the Friends of John H. Dickerson Heritage Library’s 18th annual author luncheon. The luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at the Palmetto Club, 1000 S. Beach St., Daytona Beach. Youth sewing workshop

The West Volusia Historical Society will host a youth sewing workshop from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Conrad Center, 137 W. Michigan Ave., DeLand. Funds for small project rental housing

Volusia County’s Community Assistance Division is soliciting applications from nonprofit organizations in Volusia County to provide funds for one or more projects to assist with the costs to develop and rehabilitate small project rental housing units (one to nine units) to provide affordable rental housing for very-low and low-income households in Volusia County. The county is using funds from the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program to provide organizations a zero percent interest deferred payment/forgivable loan to meet eligible and necessary rehabilitation costs up to $100,000 per housing unit. The funds will be awarded based on application submittal and approval on a first-qualified, first-served basis, subject to the continued availability of funding.
