Hyliion, a Class 8 electrification company, has announced the availability of their trial fleet, releasing its hybrid electric tractor solution, the 6x4HE designed to deliver up to 30 per cent fuel savings, in October of last year. The trial fleet is outfitted with the 6x4HE, and available for potential customers to test in their own operations for up to a week at no charge.
Hyliion offers fleets an easy, efficient way to decrease fuel expenses and lower emissions by instantly turning semi-tractor trailers into intelligent electric hybrid vehicles. Hyliion's patented technology can be used on new or existing vehicles. Requiring no driver training, Hyliion products reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to 30 per cent and provide a positive return to fleets and the environment immediately.

The trucks were made available starting March 12, 2018 and can be reserved through the company’s email service.
