Margao: Fatorda police arrested Kalay-resident Britto Rodrigues, 25, on Thursday for allegedly raping a 15-year-old minor girl.
Police said that the accused sent sexually implicit pictures of the girl to her parents, demanding Rs 12,000 from them. He warned of posting the pictures on social media if they didn’t accede to his monetary demands and threatened them of dire consequences if they approached the police.
The survivor has been missing from her house since February. Police suspect that she eloped with the accused but is not yet traceable. tnn
