Several local high school basketball players garnered all-league honors Tuesday.
Leading the way were unanimous first-team selections Sydnee Crain and Caleb Muia of Girard, along with Marque English of Pittsburg.
Other local players to make the first-team list include Colgan’s Cathy Farmer and Aaron Higginbotham, Frontenac’s Broc Ginavan, Southeast’s Sailor Jackson and Northeast’s Matt Cashero.
Second-team selections include Kate Radell, Aubry Piccini and Jeremiah Buche of Coglan, Hayden Pile and Taylor Peterson of Frontenac, Ethan Goff of Girard, Gavyn Elkamil, Chase Curtis and Madden Petty of Pittsburg, Rachel Fox of Northeast and Hayden Wilson and Dylan Wilson of Southeast.
The list of honorable mentions include Colgan’s Marci VanBecelaere and Bradley Beykirch, Frontenac’s Karma Fields and Peyton Brown, Jacey Murphy and Evan Troike of Girard, Abbie Casper and Drew Roelfs of PHS, Tre McLaughlin of Northeast and Tanner Craddock, Railey Robertson and MaKayla Buffington of Southeast.
