AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (
GSHSEB) on Wednesday registered 39 cases across the state for cheating during the class X and
class XII exams.
Board officials and supervisors caught 30 students of class X and 9 students of class XII cheating. Among the cheating cases registered against class X students, four cases included instances of dummy students and one student was found with a mobile phone inside the
exam hall.
Among the class XII students caught cheating, four students were from the general stream while five were from the science stream. There were two cases registered in the city of Ahmedabad. It is after four years that cheating cases have come to board’s notice in the city. More than 50 cheating cases have been registered since the start of the board exams this year.
