
All England Championships began on Wednesday in Birmingham. India suffered a poor start as Saina Nehwal lost her game against top seed Tai Tzu Ying in her first-round game. While she played early, other Indians will also take court to win the title. In the women’s singles, PV Sindhu is currently playing Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong. While she lost the first game, she staged a comeback in the second and the currently playing out the decider. In the men’s singles, Kidambi Srikanth won his match while Sai Praneeth lost his contest against Son Wan-ho. In the doubles match Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy beat Marcus Ellis and Chris Langridge, 22-20 21-12, to progress to the next round.

Sindhu just took it away in the final exchanges. She was given a real scare in the first game but then came to her own in the second and third. Chochuwong could not handle her aggression in the end and failed to reach double figures in the third game
Sindhu is inching closer to booking a place in the next round. She is managing to keep Chochuwong at bay.
Well, well how about that. World no 14 Praneeth has pretty much outclassed world no 4 Son Wan-ho in this first game
Sindhu has thus far kept the lead in the match but Chochuwong is not far behind. The world no. 22 is giving the Indian star a real run for her money

Kidambi Srikanth beats Brice Leverdez 22-21 in the decider and progresses to the pre-quarterfinals. with a hard-fought 7-21, 21-14, 22-20 win over Brice Leverdez in the 1st round of All England Championships.
The final game of the match is inching towards a close finish as Leverdez's levels the score at 16-16. After leading for quite some time, Srikanth allows the Frenchman to claw back. Interesting finish awaits us.

Tai Tzu Ying with that win against Saina Nehwal further improves her record against the Indian. 10-5 the head-to-head now in favour of the Taipei player. Eight consecutive defeats for Saina now. The last win came at the Swiss Open in 2013

Saina Nehal has managed to come back from 4-8 to make it 10-10. Tai Tzu Ying though gets a point and makes it 11-10 as both the player take a break after 10 minutes of play.
Saina Nehwal has been able to take three points with Ying starting to lose her grip. Nehwal looks determined to get back and it is Nehwal 8-9 Ying.
An unforced error from Ying brings back serve to Nehwal. She is starting to get back into the game with Ying committing errors. YING 6-4 Nehwal in first round.
It has been a good start from Tai Tzu Ying. She has won the first two points but Nehwal breaks one and gets the serve back. Nehwal 2-1 Ying.
Saina Nehwal gets ready to take on Tai Tzu Ying. Both the player are in the middle and are getting warmed up before the match begins. Nehwal, World No. 11 has to surpass Tai Tzu Ying who is World No. 1 at the moment. That's some tough challenge in front of her.
