WWI Film Series: "All Quiet on the Western Front" — As a complement to the exhibition "WWI: Longmont & the Great War," enjoy a series of films that illustrate life during this era. "All Quiet on the Western Front" follows a group of German schoolboys, talked into enlisting at the beginning of World War I by their zealous teacher. Ginga Brazilian Band with artist Lydia Pottoff — The Friday Afternoon Concerts and Art Show series is a co-presentation by Arts Longmont and the Longmont Museum, the series features a concert in the Stewart Auditorium and art by a local Longmont artist. Ginga Brazilian Band, which has been dazzling audiences with the captivating rhythms and energy of traditional Brazilian music for over a decade, will perform. Pastels are artist Lydia Pottoff's medium of choice. They allow her to create shimmering, heightened color effects.
