A 25-year-old Columbus man, a 24-year-old Hilliard man and a 25-year-old Dublin man each were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Doone Road at 2:34 a.m. March 4.

According to Upper Arlington police reports, the vehicle was pulled over for a license plate violation, and the driver -- the Hilliard man -- consented to officers' request to search his 2003 Saturn 4Runner.

After the men exited the vehicle, officers said they found multiple glass pipes, a cut straw, a cut pen and aluminum foil, all with burned residue in them.

None of the men claimed ownership of those items or of multiple gift cards, crumpled $1 bills and loose change located behind the driver's seat near where the Columbus man had been sitting.

The Columbus man subsequently was charged with receiving stolen property.
