Minister of State for Home affairs Hansraj Ahir along with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh paid homage to the nine CRPF personnel in Mana camp near Raipur today morning. The jawans were martyred in Maoist ambush in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh yesterday. Mr Ahir reached Raipur last night to take stock of the situation arising out of Maoist attack.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh convened an emergency meeting of senior officials of police and civil administration last evening in the state capital Raipur. CM reviewed the situation in the wake of the maoist attack and gave directions to the officers.
Earlier, condemning the attack, the Chief Minister said it was a cowardly attack by the Left -Wing Extremists. He expressed his deep condolences on the martyrdom of jawans.
Dr. Raman Singh said Naxalites are facing existential crisis as rapid development of the backward region like Sukma is taking place. He said, it displays the anti-people and anti-development mindset of the naxalites.
