PUNE: Unidentified men stole a bag containing cash and ornaments, collectively worth over Rs 4 lakh, of a 64-year-old woman by breaking the window glass of her car outside Punjab National Bank, Khadki branch, on Monday

The incident occurred between 11.45pm and 12.15pm. “Rajkumari Raitani (64) from Pimple Gurav and her daughter visited the bank and withdrew Rs 25,000, besides taking out gold ornaments from the bank locker and kept them in a bag. They walked out of the bank and kept the bag on the rear side seat of their car before entering the bank again for some work.

Sub-inspector Vaishali Ajagekar of the Khadki police said, “The woman and her daughter returned to the car after some time to find its right rear window glass broken and the bag stolen.”

Raitani has lodged an FIR under section 379 (theft) and 427 (mischief causing damage) of the Indian Penal Code.
