She was denied permission to board the Metro on Monday night

Following their motto of ‘protection and security’, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) escorted a woman passenger who was allegedly drunk to her home after she was denied permission to board the metro on Monday night.

The 25-year-old woman, a resident to Ghitorni, was not allowed to board the metro at Samaypur Badli station around 10.45 p.m. by the CISF women constables at the security checkpoint during frisking.

Argument

The woman was in an inebriated state, the officials said, adding that she was unable to talk or walk properly. After she was denied permission to board the metro, the woman allegedly got into an argument with security personnel.

An inspector reached the spot to control the situation but the woman repeatedly insisted on boarding the metro.

A Delhi Metro Rail Police Station officer called the police control room, which asked the metro police station to handle the issue.

Following this, a senior CISF officer intervened and instructed his staff members to escort the woman home.

“We requested her to come out of the metro station but she refused and sat on the floor. Metro operations had closed for the day so we decided not to leave her alone while she was inebriated,” said a senior CISF officer.

The woman’s address was taken from her ID card and she was taken home in an official vehicle along with a woman constable, added the officer.

Husband called

“On the way to her house, we asked for the contact number of her family members. She gave us her husband’s number. We called him and he asked us to drop her off at Dhaula Kuan metro station. The CISF team met her husband and the woman was shifted to his vehicle,” added the officer.
