Rose (Studt) Schloss, 81, of Cedar Rapids, passed away March 13, 2018, after a lingering illness. Services will be at Buffalo United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 17. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., with the funeral to follow at 11 a.m. and a luncheon after. Burial will be at a later date.
She was born on Aug. 5, 1936 to Daniel and Viola Christensen. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1954. She married John Studt in July 1954; they later divorced. She later married Richard N. Schloss in January 2013.
Rose worked at Rockwell Collins for 33 years. She enjoyed camping and traveling.
Survivors include her sister, Millie Hilleshiem; brother, Earl Christensen; sons, Terry (Janice) Studt, Dennis (Mary) Studt and Kevin (Ellen) Studt; grandchildren, Megan (Brian) Lopez, Molly (Jonathan) Joyner, Chiara (Dallas) Studt, Seth (Larissa) Studt, Amber (Brandi) Studt, Abbie (Ryan) Studt, Katie (Matt) Trosky and Chase Studt; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leland; husband, Richard; and two nephews, Lonnie and Danny.
