Naveen Patnaik approves rural projects worth Rs 1.40 crore

BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday approved development projects worth Rs 1.40 crore for three panchayats under the Ama Goan, Ama Vikas programme.

As part of the programme launched by the CM on Panchayati Raj Divas, the chief minister interacted with people in Korkunda gram panchayat in Malkangiri, Banibhusan panchayat in Boudh and Bisipur panchayat in Mayurbhanj through videoconferencing, said an official statement.


The projects were approved on the basis of suggestions made by people during interaction with the chief minister. According to sources, 10 projects were approved for Korkunda panchayat while seven projects were cleared for Banibhusan panchayat. Similarly, Bisipur panchayat gets six projects.


The chief minister interacts with the people on every Wednesday and Friday to take feedback on implementation of welfare programmes and development projects under the people connect programme.
