Wipro3D, the additive manufacturing (AM) business unit of Wipro, on Wednesday, launched state-of-the-art solution and experience centre for metal 3D printing in Bengaluru.

The centre, spread over 12,000 square feet area, has all capabilities including leading edge build technology, post-processing, research, characterisation and validation facilities.
Commenting on the new facility, Wipro3D Business Head Ajay Parikh said India's first functional metal AM component in space was built by Wipro3D.
"We have built competencies and offerings across additive consulting, engineering, manufacturing, research and development as well as turnkey solutions, to deliver impactful business outcomes for our customers," said Parikh.
He also added that the company see 3D printing or additive manufacturing as a critical component in the digital manufacturing and future proofing strategy of any enterprise.
Besides aerospace, medical, industrial and tooling verticals, Wipro3D also caters to verticals like oil & gas and automotive.
