In a yet another hooch tragedy, this time in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, three persons died on Monday after consuming illicit liqour in the Khora Police circle area.
Four persons fell sick on Monday night after consuming the liquor in Shankar Vihar. While three of them were killed, one is hospitalised and undergoing treatment.
Uttar Pradesh Police has begun an investigation to probe the death of the three persons who died after consuming the liquor.
Earlier this year, 11 people had died within a span of 12 hours in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh amid allegations that the casualties took place due to consumption of illicit liquor, or hooch.
The district administration, however, had said most of the deaths were natural.
