London — Prince Harry's bride-to-be has made her first public appearance with Queen Elizabeth II.

Meghan Markle joined the queen and other senior royals on Monday at the Commonwealth Day service at London's Westminster Abbey.

It marked another milestone in Meghan's path to joining the British monarch's family. The American actress is set to marry Harry on the grounds of Windsor Castle on 19 May.

Harry and Meghan were greeted with screams and shouts from some members of the public when they arrived at the venerable abbey.

They were joined by Prince William and his wife, Kate.

Meghan looked flawless in a navy mid-length dress covered with an Amanda Wakeley white coat, a Stephen Jones beret and navy blue clutch.

The Duchess of Cambridge opted for a navy Beulah coat dress, a Lock and Co. hat and black box-shaped clutch.

The royal sister-in-laws-to-be made headlines with their strikingly similar shoe choice as both had opted for a navy suede heel.

Meghan wore Manolo Blahnik BB Pumps while Kate chose to wear her favourite Gianvito Rossi 105 Suede Pumps.

Following closely behind the young royals into Westminster Abbey were Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, and Queen Elizabeth - who arrived without Prince Philip.
