Ablett '100 per cent' to play round one: Pickering
Gary Ablett's manager Liam Pickering has declared the Brownlow medallist will definitely play in Geelong's round one blockbuster against Melbourne.
Ablett has been nursing a hamstring injury since arriving from the Gold Coast Suns, but Pickering is adamant he'll be fit for the Cats' opening game.
"He is very confident,” Pickering told SEN.
"100 per cent I think he will play. My understanding talking to him is he will play round one.
“He was half a chance to play on Sunday, and of course the Cats were smart being conservative.
“Another two weeks on that hammy, it will be about a five-weeker. He will be fine by then.”
Ablett's fellow superstar teammate, Patrick Dangerfield, is now the main hamstring of concern down at the Cattery.
Dangerfield will have a scan early this afternoon but looks almost certain to miss the clash with the Demons.
MORE TO COME.
