Scribes in Mizoram organised sit-ins in the capital town of Aizawl and seven district headquarters to protest against alleged attacks by Assam police on their colleagues, including two lady journalists while they were on duty. The action by Assam police took place on Thursday and Saturday last week when the scribes were covering the erection of a guest house by Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP), the student apex body of the state, in Kolasib district on a piece of land gifted to them by the widow of the first chief minister Ch Chhunga, Vantawl said.
