Edible, non-edible oils drops on reduced demand

Groundnut prices declined at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following reduced demand from stockists and retailers. Refined palmolein prices slipped owing to lower offtake from retailers. In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial fell for the third consecutive session due to sluggish demand from soaps and shippers industries. Linseeds slipped owing to poor demand from and allied industries. In the edible segment, groundnut fell by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 860 from Monday's closing level of Rs 870 and refined palmolein moved down by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 707 from Rs 712. Moving to non-edibles section, castorseed bold dipped by Rs 15 per 100kg to Rs 4,225 compared to Rs 4,240 and commercial eased by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 875 against Rs 878 previously.

Linseeds went down by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 855 from Rs 858.
