Veteran film actor Amitabh Bachchan fell ill on Tuesday on the sets of the movie Thugs of Hindostan, for which he is currently shooting in Jodhpur. A team of three doctors, which rushed from Mumbai to tend to him, said he was medically fit.
Mr. Bachchan, who was feeling pain in his shoulder after a gruelling shoot schedule for the film, has been advised to take liquid diet for some time for maintaining his body's energy level.
The doctors, who examined the actor at Ajit Bhavan Palace Hotel where his staying, will return to Mumbai on Tuesday evening.
The 75-year-old actor earlier said in a cryptic blog post that he had called the doctors to “fiddle around” his body and set him up again.
According to the hotel staff, Mr. Bachchan was shooting till late night and feeling fatigued because of the erratic and prolonged working hours.
The crew of Thugs of Hindostan was also scheduled to leave Jodhpur on Tuesday evening, but its departure has been rescheduled in view of Mr. Bachchan's health condition.
