Tasmac staff protest

Chennai: Tasmac staffers protested by downing shutters in Tiruvallur district after miscreants attacked the supervisor of a Tasmac shop in Red Hills on Monday.

The supervisor, Gandhi Raman of Nazarethpet near Poonamallee, was attacked by unidentified people and sustained head injuries. The staffers of 280 Tasmac shops in Tiruvallur district shut shop on Tuesday, demanding that police personnel conduct a fair inquiry and apprehend the suspects behind the attack.


They also gheraoed the Tasmac manager’s office in Tiruvallur and called for safety measures for Tasmac employees.
