Chief Minister Raman Singh on Monday felicitated two woman health workers (ANMs) Sunita Thakur and Santkumari Rana with commendation certificates at district headquarters town Dantewada during his tour of the district as a part of 'Lok Suraaj Mission'.
The ANMs had been serving the remote region inhabited by about four thousand citizens on the other side of Indrawati river.
The ANMs had been appointed at village Cherpal since 2012. They travel by boats to cross the river and serve the villagers of Cherpal, Padhmeta, Tumrigunda and Kahurpaal.
Singh appreciated the efforts put in by two dedicated women health workers and wished them a bright future. The ANMs spread awareness regarding various diseases and treat the patients with dedication. They spread awareness about various schemes of the Health Department.
