Kamal Haasan in Erode, visits Periyar House

Makkal Needhi Maiam President Nammavar Kamal Haasan was in Erode recently and he visited EV Ramaswamy Naicker residence. EV Ramaswamy, fondly called 'Periyar' is an iconic figure of the Dravidian movement. This comes after the recent incident in Vellore where the bust of EV Ramaswamy was vandalised.

"Periyar is my father, I went to his house because it is my father's house," Kamal told the media . Kamal has maintained the Dravidian identity and said that he is working for the betterment of people and ensure that all are equal.
