A newly-married youth solemnised marriage of his wife with her lover on Saturday, just a few days after their wedding, when he came to know about a love relationship of his wife.
Significantly, the marriage was organised in the presence of hundreds of villagers and family members of the girl and her lover.
Basudeb Tappo (28), a native of Pamara village under Bargaon block of Sundargarh district had married Kaushlya Dandsena ,of Debdihi village under Jharsuguda district on March 4 as per the rituals of their Kissan community. Soon after their marriage, Basudeb's family had given a reception party in their village.
On Saturday, three youths from Debdihi village had reached at the house of Basudeb and one of them had given his identity as cousin of newly wedded bride. Basudeb's family had welcomed them and gave hospitality to all three persons. Later two youths along with Basudeb had gone for a round in their village, leaving the youth, who claimed to be a cousin of newly wedded girl, in their house. The family members had noticed the youth and newly wedded girl in a compromising position, following which tension prevailed in the locality.
A group of locals had launched an attack on the youth, following which he sustained injuries on some parts of his body. Seeing the pain of the youth, the newly-wedded girl had rushed in for his rescue and had confessed that they were in love relationship.
