AHMEDNAGAR: Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare on Monday said that he had sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking for space to organise his agitation on the Jan Lokpal and farmers issues scheduled from March 23.

Hazare told PTI that he had written several letters to Union home minister Rajnath Singh as well as police and civic authorities of Delhi since November last year seeking a venue but got no response.

He said that he had also written 43 letters so far to the PM demanding the implementation of the Lokpal and Lokayukta bills and to solve farm woes but the latter had not replied to any of them.

He alleged that the Union government had weakened the Right to Information Act.
