Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the State Government is on its way to develop 670 Nyaya Panchayats as growth centres and there is a need for dedicated people to run them successfully.
He also said that the armed forces veterans can play an important role in this direction.
He said this while addressing a programme organised to commemorate the 9th foundation day of Personnel Below Officer Rank (PBOR) Ex Servicemen Welfare Association at AMN Ghosh auditorium in ONGC campus on Sunday.
Congratulating the members of the association, Rawat said that the soldiers play a very important role in service of the nation.
He said that since the armed forces personnel retire at an early age their energy can be used for development of the State.
The CM gave a call to the ex- servicemen to contribute in plans to develop 670 Nyaya Panchayats as growth centres. He lauded the army initiative of preparing a nursery of 7000 Walnut trees for distribution in the remote areas of the state.
Rawat opined that by planting these fruit bearing trees, the income of the people in remote areas would get augmented.
Reiterating the commitment of his Government to the welfare of soldiers and their family members, Rawat informed that the Government has decided to provide Government jobs to the dependent of the personnel of the armed forces and paramilitary forces who die while on the line of duty.
