After nearly five decades as an icon of Subiaco, the Witch's Cauldron served its last meal at the weekend.
Owners Tanis and Geoff Gosling reportedly told staff on Sunday they would be calling it a day on their successful Rokeby Road venture, not due to financial strain, but because they felt it was the right time.
The restaurant, famous for its garlic prawns, was established 46 years ago and has since become an institution for many Perth diners.
It's won multiple awards for its garlic prawns and wine lists, and in 2013 was awarded the Gold Plate Award for best breakfast.
Loyal customers on Monday paid tribute to the landmark venue.
"Wow, definitely an end of en era. And yet another nail in the coffin for poor Subiaco," wrote Alison Carroll.
"Absolutely devastated! Some many wonderful memories at this place. I'd love to have had some notice so we could have one more meal there," wrote Tim Wright.
