Rs 37L cash was seized from official in recent raid

The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has released details about assets and documents seized from offices and houses of nine officials raided on March 9.

The raids had taken place at 36 premises across the state for wealth disproportionate to known sources of income.

ACB officials found that R Gangadhar, AEE, Solid Waste Management, BBMP owns a house each in Nandini Layout, Subramanyanagar, Nagarabhavi, sites in Mallathahalli, Chikkalasandra and two sites in Sasuveghatta village. The police also found gold weighing 806 gms, silver articles weighing 8 kgs, three cars three two-wheelers and bank deposits of Rs 12 lakh.

Similarly, P Vijaykumar who is assistant engineer, Rural Drinking Water sub-division, Gangavati possesses five flats in Hyderabad and two flats in Bengaluru. The officer also owns 4.24 acres of land in Gangavati, two high-end cars, 1.670 kg gold, a Rolex watch and household articles worth Rs 12.30 lakh.

Shivakumar S P, assistant director, Agriculture Department, Kadur, Chikkamagaluru has a bank balance of Rs 49.25 lakh, houses and under construction buildings in Tumakuru and Tiptur. The ACB officials have also seized Rs 36.92 lakh cash from his residence.

The haul

Rajashree Jainapura, special land acquisition officer, Hippargi dam project, Belagavi: A house each in Vijayapura and Belagavi and two houses in Dharwad, a site in Hubballi, 3.17 acres of land in Basavana Bagewadi and other places, two cars, 669 gms of gold and 2 kg of silver.

Vinod Kumar, deputy superintendent, excise department, Udupi: A house and a site in Mangaluru in Dakshina Kannada, a car and gold weighing 1.533 kg.

N Appi Reddy, assistant engineer, Rural Drinking Water and Sewage, Srinivaspur, Kolar: Two houses and three sites in Srinivaspur, 42.13 acres of land in various survey numbers and cash Rs 1.95 lakh.

Dr Raghunath, medical officer, Banawadi in Magadi taluk, Ramangaram: Two houses in Jayanagar in Gangavati, a house in Tumakuru, a house and four acres of land in Ramanagaram district, two cars and cash Rs 2.28 lakh.

Rudraprasad S B, superintendent, KGID, Bengaluru: A four-storyed building at Mallathahalli in Bengaluru, gold weighing 731 gms, bank balance of Rs 10 lakh in wife's name.

K C Virupaksha, second division clerk, RTO, Chikkamagaluru: Two houses in Holenarasipur, a site in Hassan and 3.20 acres of land in Holenarasipur.
