Atletico Madrid staged a pragmatic attack in defeating Celta Vigo 3-0 in the 28th round of La Liga soccer action. Atletico had only five scoring chances during the entire game on Sunday, but made the most of three of them thanks to Antoine Griezmann, Victor Machin - better known as Vitolo - and Angel Correa, reports Efe news agency.
Celta Vigo showed some resistance early in the second half, when they were trailing 1-0, and shortly before conceding the second goal. With the win, second-place Atletico preserved the status quo; maintaining its spot eight points behind league leader Barcelona and seven points ahead of Real Madrid, which sits in the third spot.
